This week, this London Fashion Intern is reading Francesca Forzoni's Foxtrotfoxtrot blog. Forzoni posts about her life as an intern in London in the creative and fashion industry. It reads like a "create your own adventure book" where no one, not even the protagonist, knows the ending. I just hope it will include a paycheck. It's also quite good to get a feel of the different ways companies, ranging from the British Fashion Council to Root, might interview.
When I asked what the attire was for my placement, the response was 'think Shoreditch'. That to me equals panic. Only recently entering the fashion world and back in London, it looks like I need to leave my Hollister and Abercrombie look for a while and embrace the London Look. When asking friends about the 'think Shoreditch' comment here were the responces:
'Really indie and pretenscious, above everyone, above aids, above god, above it all Francesca, just think 'IM GORGEOUS, ARTY AND ON DRUGS''
'Search google images of Alexa Chung. this will be your bible.'
Read it if... you need a reminder that you aren't the only one out there, going from interview to disappointment, precarious internship to more interesting ones.
Skip it if... you really don't care about other people experiences
The hook: You really want to know when and how she'll get an internship/j**

LFI you are too kind for this post! Dead on description too.. Fingers crossed I'll eventually get the hang of this interns world - if I can help out other interns by some of my posts then all the better!
